Valentina has 20 years of experience in AI and over 6 years of hands-on experience building AI products for the logistics and transportation industries—from the PoC phase to deployment in customer facilities and ongoing maintenance. She is currently serving as a Tech Lead at Yaak AI GmbH, where she is developing generative AI models and datasets for robotics, including the L2D dataset, now part of Hugging Face’s LeRobot platform. Previously, she led the product team at Gideon, developing AI-powered autonomous mobile forklifts, and worked as an ML engineer at Rimac Automobili, where she built scene understanding models for racing tracks. Valentina holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. During her doctoral studies, she also worked as an R&D software engineer. She is a proud mother of three and serves as an ambassador for Croatia’s “Female Engineer of the Year” initiative.
