Matej Kuhar is the Head of Data Science at Aircash. He holds a Master’s degree in Physics from the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, and a PhD in Astrophysics from ETH Zürich. He began his professional career in solar physics, working on the calibration of STIX – one of the instruments on ESA’s Solar Orbiter mission launched in 2020. He later transitioned into the financial sector, developing data-driven strategies at a regional bank in Switzerland. Today at Aircash, he leads a range of data science initiatives, with a focus on developing an internal transaction monitoring system and personalizing customer services.
